Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Palm Sunday, Year A, 13 April 2014 - Donkeys and Horses, Parades and Picnics, Superheroes and Human Beings

Palm Sunday Sermon on the claim of the parade and meals of our Gospel and the God who is incarnate in the Jesus who rides a donkey into Jerusalem.  The Covenant and Forgiveness of Sins that are embodied in the cup, "the blood of the covenant that is poured out for you and for the crowd" are for all of us.  This is the theological beginning of Holy Week and our Journey to Jerusalem has arrived.  Let us follow Jesus together.

Helpful tidbit: BLM stands for Bureau of Land Management.

Audio File of Holy Week explanation and welcome to the Table follows.

The Collect
Almighty and everliving God, in your tender love for the human race you sent your Son our Savior Jesus Christ to take upon him our nature, and to suffer death upon the cross, giving us the example of his great humility: Mercifully grant that we may walk in the way of his suffering, and also share in his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
