Sermon, Epiphany VIII, Year A, 2011.


Sermon on the Mount. We are to show the love of God, Grace, in our way of being in the world. This is a hot sermon. Spicy. And should not be eaten on a full stomach or without powerful antacids. Daniel really names our local god as defining our lives and it is uncomfortable. The hope he offers is the hope of God, and of responding to the call of Jesus to be free, free to love others and receive the love of the One whose name is above every name.
