Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, VII Epiphany, Year A, 2011

Sermon in which the Rev. Katheryn King invites the hearer into the Sermon on the Mount's outrageous demands. "Did anyone else shut down between Be Holy and Be Perfect?" How can we hear these demands and still hold our own place in the world? Can love win in our world, or are we left to compromise away the meaning of our faith? Rev. King brings these texts to life and challenges us to be on the side of a real love. Along the way she takes a side-trip through Mitford to visit Father Tim in order to explore the possibility of forgiveness.

She invites us into the hard work of living into the kingdom.
