The Community of Love - Vigil of Pentecost - Year B - 23 May 2015



The Rev Schuyler "Pete" Clapp proclaims the gospel of John in the context of the church - the body of Christ receiving the Holy Spirit and celebrating Pentecost. He calls for the disciple to be about creating the community of love. He points to the obstacles of fear and habit that impeded this ministry of everyone in the Spirit. We are called to build this community of love.

The Collect


Almighty God, on this day you opened the way of eternal life to every race and nation by the promised gift of your Holy Spirit: Shed abroad this gift throughout the world by the preaching of the Gospel, that it may reach to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
