Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Religious Violence Logic - Learning to be a Blessing - Sermon, Proper 23, Year A, 12 October 2014

Sermon on being a child of God by learning the logic of Christ, rather than the logic of religious violence, and then practicing standing in the gap, praying for others, naming their good and blessing them.

Daniel+ introduces two keystone habits: introducing people to each other and blessing others.  These two habits help us learn to live and think and act as children of God.

Exodus 32:1-14
Psalm 106:1-6, 19-23
Philippians 4:1-9
Matthew 22:1-14

The Collect

Lord, we pray that your grace may always precede and follow us, that we may continually be given to good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
