Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Epiphany I, 12 January 2014 - Botox and Being Beloved at Baptism

Sermon on looking into the eye of God and knowing that we are beloved. Part of a longer series on prayer and entering into prayer to remember who you are so that you can go out into the world to love. Botox kills the nerves around the eye and so makes some fundamental communication impossible.

Best line: " . . . it's not Hello Kitty love."

Isaiah 42:1-9
Acts 10:34-43
Matthew 3:13-17
Psalm 29

The Collect
Father in heaven, who at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan proclaimed him your beloved Son and anointed him with the Holy Spirit: Grant that all who are baptized into his Name may keep the covenant they have made, and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
