Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Christmas Eve 9 pm 24 December 2013 - Hearing the Cry of God at Christmas

by Gina Carter

Merry Christmas! Jesus as hypostatic union from Karl Rahner, or how Daniel is terrified of babies but sees in Christ the place where God and humanity meet and undoes the separation and sin of Eden and our lives.  Salvation in a manger and more, how we are called by the cry of God to join in the work of seeing others as little hypostatic unions, where God is at work in humanity and healing the world.

Isaiah 9:2-7
Titus 2:11-14
Luke 2:1-14(15-20)
Psalm 96

The Collect

O God, you have caused this holy night to shine with the brightness of the true Light: Grant that we, who have known the mystery of that Light on earth, may also enjoy him perfectly in heaven; where with you and the Holy Spirit he lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
