Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon on doing our job.  There is a cost and a promise to the call to follow Christ, but if we are going to follow, we have to ask carefully where to go.  We give up a lot (judgement) and get a family in Christ.  We have to learn to trust what the Coach tells us to do, go where He calls us to go, and be willing to pay the cost of following.  What we gain is the world, a family, and an intimacy with God.

Jeremiah 18:1-11
Psalm 139:1-5, 12-17
Philemon 1-21
Luke 14:25-33

The Collect
Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
