Sermon, Pentecost 8, Proper 10, Year C, 14 July 2013 - The Good Samaritan and Amos





Sermon on the Good Samaritan, really two sermonettes, one looking at the twist in Jesus' interaction with the scribe dealing with our unwillingness to hear and the second looking through Amos at what causes us to stay on our side of the street, not following the will of God.

The Collect
O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
