Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Easter Vigil, Year C, 30 March 2013 - Christ and God as a Surprising Just King and Erika's Baptism

Sermon at the Easter Vigil and Erika Shenk-Tessin's Baptism!  This may be the best sermon of the year, in part because the whole of salvation history has just been retold (or most of it) and we are all so jazzed about both the Baptism of a Sister and it is finally EASTER.  It was a dancing kind of night, full of laughter, solemnity, celebration, and joy.

At The Liturgy of the Word

At least two of the following Lessons are read, of which one is always the Lesson from Exodus. After each Lesson, the Psalm or Canticle listed, or some other suitable psalm, canticle, or hymn may be sung. A period of silence may be kept; and a suitable Collect, such as those on pages 288-291 of the Prayer Book, may be said.
