This sermon is the first in a series on Running Barefoot through the Kingdom: the Natural Life of Resurrection. This is the life you were made for, the reverend says. We are made for the life that Christ taught and lived. It may feel unnatural, but that is only because we have been doing it the wrong way.
This week focuses on the kind of love that God gives and demands of us: agape love. This isn't eros or philieo, but rather that love that gives of itself in relationship.
Acts 9:1-6, (7-20)
Psalm 30
Revelation 5:11-14
John 21:1-19
O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our
faith, that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
