Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Pentecost XXI, Proper 24, Year B, 21 October 2012 - Who are you going to Serve? Who are you going to kneel down to? and Study as Stewardship by Jeff Wescott

Sermon and Stewardship talk.

In the sermon, the Very Rev. Daniel asks us Who do you kneel down to? Who owns you? Often as Christians we want to avoid this question by giving lip service to our Lord, but giving ourselves away to other Masters.

At the 9:30 mark, you can hear the testimony of an esteemed member of Grace, Jeff Wescott talk about his life of study and stewardship. He is harking back to that line in our mission:

As Episcopal Christians we . . . STUDY the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today.
