Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Pentecost VI, Proper 12, Year A, 2011 - Water Filters and Plastic Bags

Sermon on how God's presence is like water, drawing from both the Holy Spirit and the Wisdom traditions of the Hebrew Scriptures and early church. Surviving in the desert requires water, a knowledge of thirst, knowing where the water is, and drinking. God is all around us, so don't die of thirst. But even more we are called to be sources of the Living Water that Christ gives, so that we can bring life to thirsty world.

1 Kings 3:5-12
Psalm 119:129-136
Romans 8:26-39
Matthew 13:31-33, 44-52
