Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Lent III, Year A, 2011

Jesus meets a Woman at a Well and She becomes a GraceSpring

Sermon in which the Rev. Daniel Richards tells the story of Jesus meeting a Samaritan woman at the well and her becoming the ideal disciple. She engages with Jesus in a very different way with Jesus than Nicodemus, her complete opposite. She is playful and light, and he comes in the dark, serious but unable to see within. She has faith, and her trust in Jesus allows her to become a spring of Grace for all of her city. She is open and draws others to the deep waters too.

This week's readings:
Exodus 17:1-7
Psalm 95
Romans 5:1-11
John 4:5-42
