Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

On Mother's Day, the Very Rev Daniel P Richards, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, Traverse City, Michigan, USA, speaks in his continuing series on John 15 and the love of God. Richards proclaims the need to explain what kind of love the Scripture is describing that is NOT the love as defined by a post-romanticism era of feelings. The love of God, agape, is deeper and links the core of being or the will of the individual with the will of God. It allows God the Holy Spirit to change the very foundation of the individual to let God's Will be the individual's will and that will is Love (agape).

Recorded at the 800 worship community.

Acts 10:44-48
Psalm 98
1 John 5:1-6
John 15:9-17

The Collect

O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
