Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Tale of Two Kings

The Very Rev Daniel P Richards proclaims our bible lessons for today in telling the stories of the reigns of David and Jesus. David rapes Bathsheba just after she has gone through a purification rite and ultimately murders her husband Uriah the Hittite after David finds out Bathsheba is pregnant. Jesus creates a miracle that serves people basic need to eat and creates his reign through a sacrament that is the Body of Christ. Richards calls for us not to be fake versions of ourselves but authentic in Jesus Christ.

The Collect

O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
