Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

The prophet's voice- Second Sunday of Advent - Year B - 7 December 2014

By Frank Vincentz , via Wikimedia Commons
The Very Rev Daniel P Richards proclaims the prophet's voice by asking us the question:
How do we focus? In this harried season of busyness, we are getting distracted by the season, shifting relationships, and nostalgia of seasons past. Can we listen to God like the clarity of the prophets?

Isaiah 40:1-11
Psalm 85:1-2, 8-13
2 Peter 3:8-15a
Mark 1:1-8

The Collect

Merciful God, who sent your messengers the prophets to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation: Give us grace to heed their warnings and forsake our sins, that we may greet with joy the coming of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
