Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Saints Are Those Willing to Be Taught by God - Festival of All Saints Sunday, Year A, 2 November 2014

The Very Rev Daniel P Richards proclaims the Beatitudes beginning with a story of thirst. He explains saints as those that are willing to be instructed by God, listening to God and then listening to others in order to become holy in the transformation of your life. Listening and remembering are tied together in this instruction.

Assignment for Next Week -

Thirst for righteousness. Thirst for God's instruction.
Pray many times a day:  Teach me, O God ....

Revelation 7:9-17
Psalm 34:1-10, 22
1 John 3:1-3
Matthew 5:1-12

The Collect

Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
