Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Twelfth Sunday After Pentecost, Proper 17, Year A, 31 August 2014 - A Journey, Two Paths, and a Burning Bush

The Very Rev. Daniel P Richards proclaims about the path of discipleship as Jesus journeys towards Jerusalem and death and life. Listening to God is at the place in the journey beyond the wilderness (Moses) to hear the voice of God in the burning bushes of our lives.

The Collect

Lord of all power and might, the author and giver of all good things: Graft in our hearts the love of your Name; increase in us true religion; nourish us with all goodness; and bring forth in us the fruit of good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
