Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Eleventh Sunday After Pentecost, Proper 16, Year A, 24 August 2014 - Your Words Change the World

The Very Rev. Daniel P. Richards returns from his sabbatical to proclaim that Peter's words that change everything for the disciple and now, you as a disciple, have that power through your words.   Ferguson is an opportunity for us to examine our words and the narrative they create and their power.

This is an 8 am sermon, so it is very mellow, easy listening intensity.

A note from Daniel+: I just want to remind you that the personal stories in this sermon have been altered and amalgamated in order to obfuscate and confuse those who think, "Hey, that's so and so." It isn't.

The Collect

Grant, O merciful God, that your Church, being gathered together in unity by your Holy Spirit, may show forth your power among all peoples, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
