Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Pentecost 3, Proper 8, Year A, 29 June 2014 - Building Community with Jesus and Cheerleading

Today, we welcome the Reverend Canon Meredith (or Merry) Hunt as our guest preacher and presider. Hunt speaks to us about building up of the community of Christ at Grace with Christ as the chief cornerstone. Note Collect of the Day.  She notes that the church should do more cheers.

Hunt and her husband, the Reverend David M. Lillvis, are both retired who live in Interlochen and have recently joined Grace.

Today's Lessons

The Collect
Almighty God, you have built your Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone: Grant us so to be joined together in unity of spirit by their teaching, that we may be made a holy temple acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
