Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Lent V, Year C, 17 March 2013 - Disciples, Celebrate, Adore, Love Well

Looking at Mary's anointing of Jesus' feet, we see the picture of a disciple learning to adore Christ, to access the heart, and so prophetically to pierce the Heart and Will of God.  Let us learn to be joyful and celebrate, as we should.

Isaiah 43:16-21
Psalm 126
Philippians 3:4b-14
John 12:1-8

The Collect
Almighty God, you alone can bring into order the unruly wills and affections of sinners: Grant your people grace to love what you command and desire what you promise; that, among the swift and varied changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
