Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Pentecost XXIII, Proper 26, Year B, 4 November 2012 - Following Twitchy-Eyed Steve into the Dark Desert

Sermon on hiking in the dark, following Jesus or twitchy-eyed Steve, the psychotic Ranger into the desert on a life-altering journey. Along the way we prepare to baptize three wonderful children: Amena, Jack, and David. We are called again to commit ourselves to this amazing thing that God is doing here at Grace Church.

Ruth 1:1-18
Psalm 146
Hebrews 9:11-14
Mark 12:28-34

The Collect

Almighty and merciful God, it is only by your gift that your faithful people offer you true and laudable service: Grant that we may run without stumbling to obtain your heavenly promises; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
