Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Advent III, Year B, 11 December 2011 - Not a Roman god but Emmanuel

Sermon from Grace Episcopal Church in Traverse City, Michigan, for the Third Sunday of Advent. The Very Rev. Daniel P. Richards brings unearths our roman god who is distant and perfect and judging and names it and then calls us to the Hebrew God, the God of the prophets and of Jesus Christ who has a dream of humanity, but is close, intimate, and impassioned and merciful. A God in love. Then reminds of our call to the light of that God in the world, witnesses to that light and love.
