Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

The Great Conversation: partTwo STUDY

I want to thank the 80 people who stayed for the Great Conversation on Study today. The turnout was greater than expected, and the conversation was fruitful.

The Great Conversation idea was to engage the church in the transformative work of being disciples by allowing the body to engage the great questions and help define the system as we envision what we will be at Grace. Intergenerational, spontaneous and structured, engaging and honest conversation in small groups about what we do and what we want to do together in this place about following Christ.

If you believe that the revelation is to the people, then you have to give the people a chance to be revealed to each other. What courage! among those who came. What insight! I heard at tables as I went around ease dropping.

Thank you in a big way to John and Judy Hoeffler who help me work out the structural pieces and formatting, to Ann Hackett as administrator who gets the important pieces in place, and to all on Parish Life and their volunteers who lay out such a space and meal that we can do the work in such comfort.

Thank you all for taking up the challenge of following him who opened for us the way of God. I am proud to serve with you.
