Grace: It's Our Way of Life

As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.

Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.

Sermon, Epiphany I, Year A, 2011

Sermon in which the Very Rev. Daniel P. Richards reminds us that we are part of the New Covenant in Christ, who in his Baptism modeled for us how to live and how God works through us as we are made God's children through the work of the Spirit. He starts out in the seeming cul-de-sac of medieval theology taking us from early Orthodoxy celebration of Theophany through Anselm and Augustine through Abelard to an atonement/salvation theology of Covenant.

This was also the Sunday of the Induction of two Daughters of the King, Dottie Williams and Marion Talbot, and the Holy Baptism of Parker John-Leroy Rassel. It was a fantastic Sunday morning.
