Christianity isn't a get saved and be saved life. It is about Grace received and then given to the world. Today's sermon looks at how we soak ourselves in God's Grace through getting to know his son in Scripture and prayer and then pass along that grace through service to others in big ways and in the ten thousand small choices that no one sees. This is vital to our mission as a church "To embody Grace."
I want to give credit to two books:
After You Believe by Bishop N.T. Wright
Community by Peter Block
Grace: It's Our Way of Life
As Episcopal Christians we
Worship at home daily and together weekly;
Study the Scriptures, our tradition, and what it means to be a disciple today;
Serve our families, our parish, and our world in the name of Christ.
Everything we do is done with an ethic of Welcome
because we are only here by Grace.
